BRUSSELS (AP) – Weapons stocks in the European Union are running low as member countries continue to sends arms and ammunition to Ukraine, the bloc’s top diplomat warned Monday as he urged EU nations to better coordinate their spending on military materiel.

“The military stocks of most member-states has been, I wouldn’t say exhausted, but depleted in a high proportion, because we have been providing a lot of capacity to the Ukrainians,” EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said in a debate with European lawmakers.

They report that the Russians are using conscripts and old equipment.

The US and EU continue to prop up Zelensky and Ukraine, in a conflict that would have been over some time ago, were it not for the cash and weaponry.

Some will argue that the West is helping suck the life out of Russia. Hmmm. Is Russia, with help from its Chinese friend, sucking the life out of Europe and the US?

Time will tell what happens this winter in Europe when folks start freezing.

They should have read the story of the ants and grasshopper. EU? Sucks to be them.

According to some reports I’ve watched, Ukraine has already lost the equivalent of the entire British Army.

And the winner of the war in Ukraine is...

China

Is that what Joe Biden and Boris Johnson wanted to begin with?

Not to worry. The Biden Crime Family will make sure it gets refilled and get its 10% skim off the arms manufacturers.

I will have to agree

Let this draw out a little longer. Let winter set in across Europe and folks there start to suffer.

Won’t be anyone around to protect Taiwan or anywhere else.

The western world has elected absolute, spoiled and petulant children to manage the affairs of their respective countries.

More and more, profe that they’re all controlled by a cabal of, not so unknown, devious people.

Russia has been emptying prisons and conscripting those prisoners for the war.

Too bad we gave the Taliban $billions in weapons - could have sent those to Ukraine instead....

Being drained of weapons and armory would be really useful if you wanted to have millions of third worlders suddenly invade a defenseless Europe.

Amazing how anyone on FR that isn’t on their knees for Zelensky and Ukraine is automatically a ProPutin Russian propagandist.

Yet so many just don’t seem to care about the billions that have been sent there to prop up the Ukraine government, pay salaries, and of course, set a sizable chunk aside for their retirement accounts, with ZERO accountability.

Especially with all that is know about how corrupt all parties concerned are.

And at the end of the day, who is paying the price for all of this? Ukrainian citizens and soldiers. US taxpayers, with our own problems, as the country goes further in debt.

The West doesn’t consider a land war lasting for months as credible, therefore we don’t need to deal with the cost of large stockpiles of conventional weapons.

Sincerely, General Milley.

“According to some reports I’ve watched, Ukraine has already lost the equivalent of the entire British Army.”

So 50 bullets and a revolver, but how about NATO stockpiles?

It was beyond what they could comprehend.

Ok …. And what? did the Russians just not take complete control of a nuke plant or something like that?

We’re in September. Winter comes early in parts of Europe that have been very reliant on Russian gas and oil. Soon those countries, Germany being one of them, are going to have to make a hard choice.

Send in troops to push Russia out and watch you troops come home in body bags. Russia cuts everyone off, completely, and they all suffer through a cold hard winter. And the world goes full circle in wars for oil. Isn’t that what so many said the wars in the Middle East were all about?

Cut off Ukraine, Russia wins, using convicts and conscripts and outdated weapons.

And then they can charge Europe whatever they want for their natural gas and oil and continue making even more money than they are now, selling to India and other countries that couldn’t care less about propping up Zelensky and the criminal enterprise that is Ukraine.

The nuke plant was actually taken over months ago. Only recently has renewed fighting come closer to that plant. Russia is parking weapons (rocket launchers, tanks, etc.) right next to buildings, water lines, power lines, etc. to use the plant as a shield for said weapons. It’s part of why they didn’t want the IAEA to visit.

But this particular plant, thought the largest in Europe, isn’t the issue. That plant didn’t supply the rest of Europe. Those natural gas pipelines from Russa (Nordstream 1 being among them) do.

Recall - several years ago, President Trump clearly and unequivocally warned Gemany and others of our supposed NATO allies to get off the Russian energy teat or they would regret it when Putin found a reason to cut them off.

And again I ask - where was the logic in the first place? Nations that make up the bulk of NATO - an organizatoin established as a defense against one enemy - the Soviet Union (and now its remains - Russia), allowing themselves to be come almost totally dependant on that sworn enemy to not freeze to death...

I now the answer - it’s called “stupid” - but its fed by Russia’s regular willingness to undercut oil and gas prices. It’s why OPEC hates Russia (though Iran loves their Rubles and Nuke development help).
