I'm also weary of getting fairly generic requests for donations for House races when the donation actually goes to only one candidate once you get down to it***
I commiserate completely. I have started 'Unsubscribe' -ing or just blocking.
***there have been many cases of Republican winners who were outspent by a fairly high margin***
I keep wasting my time writing these people and telling them this; they all seem addicted to $$$$. A truck driver ran as Republican in New Jersey in 2020 - ran on issues - spent $153 AND DEFEATED the most powerful Dem in the state.
I have stopped relating this story to Rep candidates who apparently only want money. 😫
In addition to blocking email, I also subscribed to Robo-Killer - primarily to divert the GOPe solicitors and other spam callers.
It is hilarious. Your phone doesn't ring, but diverts the call to a recorded/staged "sceanrio" then they send you a recording of it. One is a Russian call taker, one pretends it is Area 51, and other is an annoyed female who is being called out of a movie theater. It is quite entertaining.
I see the GOPe tries to bust through Robo-Killer using various phone lines, but so far-so-good not talking to them.
In one argument when Sen Dick Turban (Dumb-IL) was running, I asked the the GOPe caller who the Illinois Republican candidate was, and they couldn't name the candidate.
SLIDE
I politely went the “unsubscribe” route for a a while. Now, I mark all donation request emails as spam. Consequently, I receive almost none.
