My fear is that the assassination of Abe may embolden some of the most fanatical of the Trump-haters to act out.

It’s a good thing Trump isn’t as paranoid as I am, with regard to assassinations. I have seen too many of them during my 8 and 1/2 decades on this earth.
It would give them the opportunity to declare martial law. That is what they would love right before an election.

Absolutely not true. Three military men jumped out of a military truck in a military parade and opened fire with AK-47s and a couple of hand grenades. Sadat, Mubarak and dignities were on the main viewing stand.
