Where did the time go?
First comment at the link gets it: Those were happy, carefree times, and life will never be like that again.
Good band. The lead singer is an epic, world-class f*g hag.

Jimmy will go his grave knowing he was not the worst president in modern times.
The Go-Go’s could actually Rock...Kinda as if my younger sister got off her ass and actually leaned how to play ...

Their song ":Creel Summer" is a favorite.
Chick band.
I wonder if the video was a marketing after thought, and the recording and the video were created at different times?
Dottie Danger. Jane Drano. Canterbury Ghosts.
Most commercially successful punk band
You know this video is old because it's filmed in Los Angeles and there's no homeless encampments. L.A. used to be cool and fun!
They spent a lot of time swimming in that fountain hoping someone would call the police so they could get it on video. Nobody ever did.
I revisited the Go-Go's recently. I wasn't really into them when I was a teen in the 80s as I was more of a metalhead but as I matured, I've been able to appreciate their massive talent and contribution to rock music. I like the songs know.
Their recent documentary on Showtime is excellent.
Remember it well.
I saw that video recently and was struck by how long ago it looked. All videos from the early MTV era look like they’re from another time but for some reason that one really stands out. I think because it’s from the absolute earliest of the early era, even slightly pre MTV as you mentioned, and also all the candid low-budget location shots with the old cars.
Belinda Carlisle was hot for about 5 minutes, then she turned into an SI swimsuit issue cover model.
In the first draft of my original comment, I actually made the exact same observation you made about the production quality of the video for Our Lips Are Sealed.
I decided that sounded too much like criticism, so I deleted that part to avoid a Free Republic backlash.
Ha. She is hotter now at 62.
I distinctly remember when I started hearing this on the radio I thought they were singing “Honest, I See You” not “Our Lip Are Sealed.”
Belinda Carlisle still damn good at 63.
