After a three day, 1,000 mile journey with my Wife I had a thought:
What can Bidum do to make the USA a worse place?
Then it occurred to me while driving at 85 MPH...
Bidum just might go FULL CARTER and lower the speed limit to 65 MPH (as no one liked the double Nickel) in order to ‘Save Fuel.’
FReeper thoughts? Of course this would HAVE to be done after the election...

Will we get to drive 65 instead of 55 because of inflation?
The 55 limit was Gerald Ford’s baby.
55 wasn’t a federal mandate. They couldn’t mandate to the states. What they did do, instead was,
threaten to withhold road funds if the state didn’t lower their speed limit to 55.
It was in response to the 1973 oil crises. Nixon signed it into law.
I think a couple a states told the feds to take a hike.
