All 4 of my kids grew up in cloth.
Last one out of cloth in 1989/90.
Our kids also grew up in cloth diapers (diaper service). I don’t recall them having any kind of diaper rash. Those diapers would get heavy very quickly, prolly never touched their skin. The diaper pail was stinky. But they potty trained in a hurry. And it was great having a bagfull of soft clean diapers for throwing over your shoulder for burping and wiping off little faces.
