My son is autistic and the nicest sweetest kid you ever wanna meet. He’s 21. He still in high school until next year. If anybody threatened him I do the same damn thing. I would be in total kill mode. A few years back a lifeguard was smarting off at my son.
I went freaking nuts.
So, if the parent heard about it, surely the school heard about this and did NOTHING.
And then get your derrier thrown in jail with no one to watch your son. That’s wise. Lighten up Francis!
Judge would be singing a different tune if it was his special needs kid. Intelligent empathy is in short supply. Preachy judicial armchair quarterbacking masquerades as “brilliant justice” today.
My daughter is 36 and at 28 moved to a group home. There was never a time when she went unsupervised at school, someone was always there because she is totally vulnerable and unable to care for herself.
I feel for autistic and Downs children (And their parents) who have to navigate schools that do not provide protection from schoolyard bullies working their way up to become ungovernable criminals.
When I was a kid, and all through school, I never saw anybody attack, harass or make fun of disabled people. If anything, we walked on eggshells around them. Stories like these show the utter breakdown of society. People should not have to send their kids to school with these animals.
