Everyone seen the first episode of The Last Kingdom Season 5? They introduce Father Benedict a black Anglo-Saxon priest. I think they actually try to claim he was sent from Rome or something. OK a black 8th century Italian then ! I would have thought Bernard Cornwell would have blocked casting as ridiculous as that! I guess he didn't or couldn't. Money spoke and he listened! I probably won't be watching anymore of it.
