One other note...Dr Linus Pauling ( who did the studies in 2012-14) is a two time Nobel Prize recipient FWIW

I could be wrong be wrong but I think Pauling considered Vitamin C so essential for heath he recommended it be put on restaurant tables in shakers like salt.

Not to nit pick but Doc Linus died in 1994. He donated his entire research work to the Library at Oregon State U. I visited the library about 1996 and he did, indeed, document everything known to man about vitamin C. It wasn’t the fountain of youth tho since he still died in his 80’s.
