It's boggles my mind that "Rust" is about a man who ACCIDENTLY murders someone.

AND Alec co-authored RUST, picked out the gun but "did not pull the trigger" and his father taught riflery. Bet he went to the range with his dad.

I think there was some incriminating evidence on it wrt admitting (possibly to his lawyer) that what happened doesn’t comport with what he told police. He’s hiding information that could cost him millions in a lawsuit, possibly other criminal charges.
