Ted Cruz likes Nickelback
My evolving understanding of Ted and Trump could not have been more different.
I used to think Ted was an extremely smart firebrand who didn’t care who he pissed off in making his point (see his takedown of McConnel on the Senate floor). Now I see him as a slimy opportunist who simply checks which way the wind is blowing and goes that way.
I didn’t trust Trump in the beginning of 2016. I didn’t vote for him in the primary. By the general election, I was cautiously optimistic that he could get the job done.
At this point, I would crawl over broken glass to vote for him again. He is the only true President in my lifetime. I now recognize that all of the other Presidents since Kennedy were either deep state stooges or deep state operatives.
What else is there to say?
Ted Cruz has joined Lindsey Graham. I consider them bottom feeders, slime.
I never liked or trusted Ted Cruz, and am glad he showed his true colors so fellow FReepers would finally see the light about this weasel.
Cruz has been an opportunist and a chameleon for many years. The only mystery is why his current actions are being promoted as a change. The current situation has just made it increasingly difficult for him to say one thing to one group and another to the next and look like a principled politician who puts America first.
Once Cruz hired Glen Beck to go around calling Trump voters Nazis and brownshirts, and turn Cruz into some sort of Mormon prophecy fulfillment, I lost all trust and interest in him. So, it doesn’t really surprise me to see yet another “republican” slither on his belly like a snake to win points with the Media-Dem Party.
He’s finally revealed himself to everyone as the phony charlatan that he is.
His Elmer Gantry act was pretty obvious, but now it’s impossible to ignore.
Ted Cruz is the consummate opportunist. He’s always looking for an angle. I wouldn’t trust that guy alone in a room with my wallet much less vote him president.
Ted has forfeited any support from me from now on.
Ted Cruz was caught in a liberal antifa and BLM riot and feared for his life and that of his wife... That gave him a good look at what chaos and violence look like.
What Cruz needs to understand is conservatives are NOT SUPPORTING VIOLENCE BY OUR PEOPLE OR BY ANTIFA OR BLM.
What we’re asking for is a sense of fairness in how the three groups are treated ‘under the law’. The rule of law can’t be thrown out because of fear... American cities burning in over 300 riots was wrong. Breaking into Congress was wrong.
But they are not treated the same...and that’s where the evil steps in - the compromising of American institutions.
This is why Tucker is authentic, he calls them out even if they are GOP. Hannity would never do that.

It’s coming down to a few women with any spine in the Republican party. And newcomers at that. The rest are just shills for the democrats.
All politicians (even the “good” ones) are psychopathic narcissists. That is a job requirement since you get the job by winning a popularity contest where you lie about the other guy better than he lies about you. If they aren’t getting the attention they crave, they have no problems reinventing themselves to generate buzz. I think that Cruz has bad focus group research.

I’m a longtime supporter of Sen. Cruz. I’m getting the feeling that something is up with him. His daughter’s recent comments and now these from Jan. 6 make me wonder whether he’s been given the Roberts treatment.
I don’t know about the rumors of an affair. As for being a bastard— that’s almost a prerequisite for the job. For the time being I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
