My Dad, 91 yr, had a fall on 7th Dec 2021. He had 2 broken ribs, the elbow was bleeding, and head trauma. He was in the emergency/ICU for 2 days. He had complete memory loss. He was unable to recognize any of my family members including my mother. Now he had 99% recovered. Memory is back. During the whole episode, he was very polite, shy, humble. By nature, he is a very humble person. He was wearing a diaper, he will not use it when my niece or SIL is present. Either they have to leave the room or someone take him to the bathroom.
My younger brother gives him a shower was telling me, Dad is very particular about his hygiene.
Dad is doing well thanks to my younger brother and SIL.

Exactly right.

And, we allowed our public education system to become indoctrination centers.....by not sounding louder alarms and stepping up to run for/fill board and curriculum committees.

Well, I say we....knowing that some of us DID run for, fill, and taught (here’s looking at you, Gran 😉), subbed or volunteered (I’ve done plenty of both), attempting to stave this commie conversion 😢

That is awesome that he has regained his memory and that he is recovering so well! What a blessing.

My FIL has vascular dementia, diagnosed about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, there is no recovery from this kind of memory loss. He sometimes (every few weeks) recognizes a caregiver, or DH or I, but most of the time he doesn’t know anyone, or his name, or where he is. Most of what memory he has left is his childhood.

My FIL is a lot like your dad, always kind, caring, quiet, has never been violent, has never cursed. He is one of the sweetest people I know. Last week was the first time we ever heard him curse at anyone, ever. They were sponge bathing him and he was cold. He has gotten bathing and toileting assistance for the past 5 months or so and this is the first time he got upset. What is happening to him is no reflection of his personality, it is brain deterioration.

This summer when he was hitting people, and that was the first time he ever hit anyone and he had no recollection of doing it, or why, even after it had just happened. Once he was aware enough that when DH told him what had happened, he cried - he could not believe he had done it.

If we see his return in 2024, I hope the first thing he does is clean house....even if it leaves the house mostly empty.

Exactly.. Having nobody, would be better than a traitor working against the admin.

Most of the people I know who taught in the school system in my little community hated Common Core.

Some were brave enough to not teach it, especially in the History classes.

Because I worked in Special Education, I had to read much of the standardized testing to our students, a no-no for regular teachers to read.

I did see evidence of “wokism” in some of the questions and I did complain to TPTB.

We now have a dim in the office of State Education so who knows how bad it is.

Most of the wonderful teachers I worked with have now retired so I don’t even have a way of finding out just how bad it has gotten except to talk to parents, who most haven’t a clue, sadly.

I was only 11-12 years old and my grandmother would cuss me out. I’d hear her yelling and rattling her bed rails. I’d stick my head in her door to see if she was alright and she’d tell me she’d give me all her money if I would just get her out of there. I’d tell her I couldn’t and then she would give me a good cussing out.
My parents explained to me that her sickness had affected her brain and made her say and do things she never had before. I remembered her not cussing before so I understood it and ignored it.

Let’s hope next time Trump will have his help better vetted.

Yes. Unfortunately, you can't necessarily trust the people doing the vetting.

Trump has a lot of time over the next 3 years to get people he can trust committed to joining his second term. People who will stick by him knowing they will be demonized by libtards & press. People who don't care if they loose Twitter followers by standing by Trump.

He has a much better idea who he can trust now. He should spend the time vetting them & working with them or at least regularly meeting with them over the next 3 years. Those who falter when the libtards find out they are working with Trump between now & Inauguration Day should be discarded.

That’s all you can do, really. I’m sorry you had to deal with that as a child.

Mrs. exit82 put me to work this morning.

It’s still morning where you are, so good morning to you!

So, Gen. Milley got three jabs and STILL got COVID.

I’m surprised he didn’t praise the “vaccine” and say he was glad he did not get a more severe case.

The point is, with three jabs, he should not have gotten it at all.

My mom had dementia and my dad had full control of his facilities. My sis said maybe dad had it worse as he could see what was happening and felt helpless.

I remember talk of getting the different department organizations out of the swamp DC.

What happened to that?

Trump needs to readdress that when he is in again.

Many conservatives wouldn’t want to move to DC or surrounding area especially those with children.

Yes, morning here but afternoon where you are so.....

Good afternoon, exit!

Nice of you to do your “Honey-do” list this morning.

Did you try to plead with her that it was a National Holiday, and all work should have been put off till tomorrow?
