He has always been a blessing to others, he deserves it.
Thanks. We had always planned to bring him here at the point of hospice anyway, because the memory care is no benefit for him at that point.
As long as he enjoys the company of others, MC is a good fit. Even last week, we noticed him hanging out with his peers by the fire, watching TV, even smiling at their stories, he does not participate as much in activities but seems to enjoy them. And he still likes to walk - he did laps around the center for hours with his “lady friend”
So the hope is we can get him rehabilitated to the point he can go back and be with friends. If not, then I believe it’s time to look into home health here at our house.
I am going to have to develop a thick skin, because he apparently has developed the mouth of a drunken sailor post op 😂

My sister turned the living room into a care room for Mom and Dad. We all pitched in to help. I’m thankful they could be with family.
That is similar to my mom when she had ALS - her den became her room and my sister and I took turns caring for her for about 6 months. We had a hospice caregiver near the end to care for her overnight.
In my house, our bedroom is the best setup - it is on the main floor, and has a bright, sunny, sitting area that will fit a hospital bed and recliner. We were going to do the same with my MIL who had end-stage cancer but she died in the hospital as we were getting it all set up. :-(
It’s nice that you all pitched in. My husband’s siblings would, but they all live out of state so we are on our own. My boys are very helpful though, especially with running errands and such.

Poll Finds Close To Half Of Democratic Voters Want COVID Internment Camps For The Unvaccinated

Majority want unvaxxed locked in their homes, close to half want people jailed for questioning jabs.
A national poll has found that forty-five percent of likely Democratic voters would be ok with the government “requiring citizens to temporarily live in designated facilities or locations if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine.”
The figure was registered by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute, which also found that a MAJORITY “Fifty-nine percent of Democratic voters would favor a government policy requiring that citizens remain confined to their homes at all times, except for emergencies, if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine.”
The survey also found that 48 percent of Democratic voters “think federal and state governments should be able to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications.”

Given that the benchmark for ‘questioning’ the efficacy of vaccines appears to now be saying anything other than what the government tells you, a lot of people would be facing criminal charges.
The survey found some other crazy suggestions with a startling percentage of Democrat voters in agreement.
Rasmussen notes “Forty-seven percent of Democrats favor a government tracking program for those who won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.”
The pollster added that “Twenty-nine percent of Democratic voters would support temporarily removing parents’ custody of their children if parents refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine.”
There’s no mass formation psychosis though. That’s a conspiracy theory.
I saw that CNN lead-in. It was stunning. I hate hearing these people, but it is interesting to hear what they say. That woman was the ultimate in delusional.
