I would have been alone but the wife tested positive for covid so we’re “all in this together” for 14 days. She’s planning on leaving me which got postponed due to the current tenant in the trailer she’ll be renting, having not moved out yet and now further postponed due to covid. Else she and the kids 18/19, would have been spending Christmas at her friend’s house with her friend’s family.
I have a feeling her future landlord couldn’t bring herself to kick the guy out right before Christmas but yeah, the wife was going to leave me right before Christmas.
I set up an appointment for Monoclonal Antibody Infusion for her and brought her there. I’m not eligible but she was. I still consider it my duty to take care of my family and desire to. I’ve got my horse paste and vitamins. Kids are unaffected as of yet and both are thin with no health issues.
Wife does the Christmas shopping but I’ve yet to see any presents so I’m guessing they’re at her friend’s house.
She’s a really good friend and was even kind enough to print out DIY divorce papers[spit]. Not sure what kind of happily married person prints divorce papers for another married person.
I told the wife I can accept separation for now but no more aka not signing divorce papers. She may end up changing her mind after playing single parent for a while. Our autistic son, who relates to me more than anyone, is undecided and says he’d like the option of bouncing back and forth between us. Daughter could care less about me but that’s the way it is sometimes. Some females tend to not appreciate dear ole dad until they get older.

I’ll pray that everything will work out and that she’ll come to her senses. I can imagine how tough this is for you.
And, yes, girls that age usually go through that stage and come to realize how great dad is when they’ve been on their own for a while.
