I’m inclined to believe that is/was some type of misdirection because the mechanism by which ivermectin is effective against virus’ is totally independent of its parasitic efficacy.
Remember, it was previously reported out of our NIH that it was a viral “game changer”. This stuff also has mitigative activity against dengue, west Nile and Ebola…
The “it doesn’t work against new variants” is a pile IMHO.
I figure if ivermectin wasn’t working any more, the Front Line Doctors would know. I checked their site, no mention of ivermectin not working.
I think the mechanism of ivermectin’s effectiveness is that it pre-emptively occupies the docking sites on the exterior of a cell that the spike protein would normally dock at. If the SP can’t get into the cell, they can’t take over the cellular machinery and subvert the normal RNA/DNA instructions. The spike proteins remain in the blood where they’re dealt with by macrophages as blood debris. Pardon me if I’m misremembering.
