Nebraska dropped a 23-20 heartbreaker in overtime at Michigan State on Saturday, further warming the seat on which head coach Scott Frost resides. The Cornhuskers dropped to 2-3 this year with the loss and are now a paltry 14-23 under Frost since he took the job prior to the 2108 season.

I keep hearing this rumor that Frost might have some off the field problems.
I said from his hiring, if Scott Frost can't fix it, it can't be fixed. I have mixed emotions about it now. Decision is way above my pay grade anyhow.
Oh yes, the Hurricanes, was that Bishop Sycamore they were playing yesterday? Geez!
After seeing Rutgers yesterday, I have to ask, why did Schiano ever leave? Rutgers and Schiano are a perfect fit. Imagine if he had never left where Rutgers could be.
A lot of awful teams are circling UMass on their schedule. UConn is another.
Agreed. I can still remember yelling at the radio when I learned of his firing.
And then bringing in Callahan.
Well, if Frost does not work out, there’s always Eric Crouch. Okay, kidding! I like Crouch. Good guy and has a lot of heart.
There should be a mercy rule for games like that- when a team is up by forty they are only allowed to field 9 players.
Wake is always like that. Ditto Duke with Cutcliffe. Some bad years then some really good ones.
Wake’s QB Hartmann is a terrific signal caller. Ridiculously underrated. Still, i don’t see them beating Louisville or NC State.
What’s funny is that the team they played probably gets more fans to attend their home games than Miami does.
I think we are learning with Dabo, that a good QB is everything.
Who has Frost had the whole time, Martinez. I’m sure he has occasional good moments, but I suspect there are a lot of QBs that had they played in Lincoln would have made Frost look much better.
After Los Angeles, Miami is hands down the worst sports city in America- bar none. If the NFL still had the blackout rule Dolphins fans would have never seen a home game on TV the past decade.
I used to scout Hurricane games live in the final years of the Orange Bowl when they had a decent team- the upper deck was always near completely empty. One game (WVU) i went up there- bird sh!t on all the bleachers- utter adnomination.
Even when the Miami Hurricanes were winning Natties, their attendance was horrendous. They would only sell out if UF and FSU or big names like Notre Dame or Oklahoma came.
I don’t think the Clemson QB is that bad at all- problem is the Clemson running game is marginal. They don’t have a feature runner and that small white dude is hit and miss.
Losing the two D-linemen is a killer for Clemson.
The only time the Dolphins have near capacity is when the Jets or Pats are in town- and that’s because pale northerners make the trip down to get some sun.
You’re right about Charlie. I kept hearing rumors as well but It was about Frank Solich and then escalating in the Callahan years. A culture clash introduced to the university. I’m a fan because my husband was a graduate a long time ago. We lived in Nebraska and always thought we’d end up there.
I haven’t read anything about Scott’s private life. That would be a shame. He was offensive coordinator with the Oregon Ducks while we live in Eugene and did a good job there.
I just don’t want to accept change anymore. I want things to be what they were in college sports. If Oklahoma can stay in the game, Nebraska should have been able to as well. I want people to know honest greatness. I know I’ll lose that battle. But…there’s next year maybe. 😐
You are right. 🎯
Tom Herman in 2017 and Scott Frost in 2018 were the can't-miss G6 coaches destined for bigger things. Lot bumpier transition than most expected. Herman didn't last long at UT and it's not looking good for Frost.
Not a Nebraska fan at all but I do watch most of their games and it’s incredible the way they lose. I remember about three years ago I turned the game off and disgusted because they were going to win and a buddy texted me and I thought he was kidding it might’ve been northwestern but in some incredible set of circumstances Nebraska found a way to lose the game
Somewhere thing happened last night when it look like they were going to win and when I turned it back on just following the punt return
The Big Red has NO O line and it shows
I cannot recall the last time (IF indeed there was a LAST time) I rooted for NE to win a game,, but I was pulling for them yesterday.
When the best you can recruit are 3-star players, it’s actually easier for a coach to impose his culture on a team.
But when you move up to the big boys, there is a lot of pressure to pull in the 4 and 5 star players, regardless of whether they are a good fit for your team.
