I lost my little fur baby back in January, still grieving.
No, cancer, and you’re being unnecessarily cruel to Dana with that snarky question. Just try suffering a loss like hers and see how you feel.

It’s always hard, harder for me that members of my family, with family in most cases you know when they are getting ready to go, with dogs the fight until the end and never complain....
This is her second dog to pass away, both were vizslas, I didn’t think Jasper was that old....very tragic

My wife and I think about getting another dog but we take the loss of ours so hard we’re just not sure we want to go through it again
Sad to hear. I lost my Blue Point named Canoe last spring @ age 21. He died in my lap on the way to the vet. Still have a 15 year old Lilac named Lilly.
I know it hurts a lot, but we must pull through, and know that he/she loved you as much you loved he/she.

RIP Jasper. Dana will meet you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. For you it will be no time at all but many years for Dana.
Hubby and I lost our most favorite dog ever to cancer. He nearly made it to 14. He was a tri-color Corgi named Griffin and we still miss him. That was nearly 5 years ago, still miss him.
We have a new little guy (toy poodle), and he is a fun companion; but, that little corgi just melted into our hearts and he lives there still.
Had loss in ‘09 and it still hurts.
I lost two beloved cats recently. Never going through watching another pet die again. I’m finished.
Jasper was a cute dog.
