The return of the smart people to Washington is not turning out to be what they had planned.
To be fair, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has the worst job in Washington D.C. She has to explain the unexplainable. On Monday, she had an exchange with Peter Doocy who is apparently the only reporter with a pulse in that room. It's hard to believe that these are the same reporters who turned into wolves every time they saw President Trump. Anyway, back to the exchange:
Psaki said it was "irresponsible" to say that Americans are stranded in Afghanistan. "I think it's irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not. We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home."
Doocy followed up and asked whether "there are no Americans stranded" is the official White House position.
"I'm just calling you out for saying we are stranding Americans in Afghanistan when we have been very clear that we are not leaving Americans who want to return home," Psaki said. "We are going to bring them home and I think that's important for the American public to hear and understand."
Wow. I thought that Bill Clinton was whispering in Jen's ear.

Don’t worry, the “smart” people are in charge now. If you would just trust them to run your life you would be sooo much better off.

I think it's irresponsible to leave Americans stranded.
I don’t think all were stranded.
I think some were ditched.
He meant to say hostages.
She has a hard job. She has to explain, in coherent words and sentences, the incoherent ramblings of an old fool. She has to justify the actions of someone who is committed to destroying the country. She has to deny what is obvious. It’s hard work, and the strain is getting to her.
I wish her prompt failure, a fast, long and leisurely retirement in which she regains her self-esteem after lying so much.
That is a good summary of Jen’s duties and abilities. However, I do not think it is a strain on her. She was made for the job. I think lying is so easy for her that it causes no inner conflicts. I think she enjoys telling whoppers and watching most of the press smile and say “yes, ma’am” as they jot down their notes. The only strain I see is when Doocy catches her in an obvious lie and she is trying to restrain herself from saying “take this fool out and shoot him”. If she had the power she would order it.
Most of the replies are missing what White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was really saying - The real word she would agree with is ABANDONED.
