like somebody with a fake fed badge is much worse than some tyrant who has an actual one. As far as I am concerned, the one with the fake badge won’t screw me as bad as the one with the real one.

Badges without credentials are useless, it is not hard to fake a badge. As a matter of fact most people would not know the difference between a bad fake badge and a real one.
Ha There are probably hundreds more where they came from. The real question is who intended on using them? They will get more.

I used to get my badges in boxes of Wheaties. I wouldn’t use anything that came out of Chicago.
Real badges are works of art.

That may have been true years ago, my badge is no work of art. If I did not know any better I would think mine was fake and I am a Federal Agent.
I’ll have to look,, but I think my County’s badge(s) had centers of colorful cloisonné. But, as you said, that was long ago. ;)
