They ate what was available, not what was on sale at the supermarket. When they had a feast, relatively speaking, it wasn’t necessarily because of abundance. Those are the habits of hundreds of generations that got all of us born.

I’ve always found it easier to post a comment rather than read the article.

At my present age of 65, I’m already familiar with those “Senior Moments”. lol!
Governor Rick Perry used to call them ‘Brain Freezes”.

I’ve also heard “brain fart”, I think a finger-pull request is optional though. ;^)

In my corrective message, spekchek was supposed to be spelchek, but as that one was deliberately misspelled anyway, I’m going with it. ;^)

"They ate what was available, not what was on sale at the supermarket."

Why would they speculate at all that "threshing waste" might indicate a special occasion? Maybe it does, or maybe it means they weren't overly concerned about a little chaff with their grain.

The detail on that man’s face is incredible; of course the rest of his body didn’t fare so well :O but I just can’t get over the face. Somebody else mentioned how ‘clean’ shaven he appears, which does make me wonder about shaving in that culture or, like the Indians, maybe he didn’t have facial hair.

Getting him all clean-shaven and prettied up may have been part of the process.

From the swamps of Northern Europe emerge a series of mummified bodies. They all share the same dark secret, a violent and gruesome death.

That's a good idea. They didn't have that technology when he was found, but it's been around quite awhile now. I'm surprised if they haven't.

Maybe they'll find he's related to Oetzi. Ha.

He’s quite a bit younger than Oetzi.

I just checked my archaic DNA results, zero Oetzi DNA.

I got loads from 12.5K old Clovis MT though. :^)
