The testing failure to detect the difference between covid and other viruses, such as the common cold, is tantamount to malfeasance !, and misinformation.
Now, just for the sake of your own emotional well-being, identify the largest promoters of this misinformation.. politicians, social media, printed press, cable, etc., etc.
Even the inventor of the PRC test said that the test shouldn't be used to detect covid, or the level of viral infection.

Exactly. Covid may not even exist. If it did, then it should be found under normal circumstances but they have to manipulate tests to find anything. They could find the DNA of a dinosaurs in any sample given by man or beast using the PCR test they way they do.
What went around was Flu-A and a bacterial pneumonia.
If you mean Covid-19, Mullis died before it ever came along. He never commented on it.
But you are correct that he claimed that the test couldn’t be used to determine the level of any viral infection.
It CAN pick up even one or two dead particles in a sample. But it doesn’t tell us what that means to the individual, or to that person’s infectiousness.
