"Let’s be crystal clear about this issue. And media, I want you to start reporting the facts," Ivey said. "The new cases of COVID are because of unvaccinated folks."
"Almost 100% of the new hospitalizations are with unvaccinated folks. And the deaths are certainly occurring with the unvaccinated folks. These folks are choosing a horrible lifestyle of self-inflicted pain," she continued.
"Folks are supposed to have common sense. But it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the vaccinated folks. It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down. I’ve done all I know how to do. I can encourage you to do something but I can’t make you take care of yourself. "

How about blaming China!
Where did I read high percentages of vaxxed people getting re-infected? How many illegals in Alabama that are unvaxed?
I as of yet to see many complaints on the illegals coming across without being tested for anything.
NEVER elect a woman to an executive government position. They will speak and make policy decision by emotion every time.
Blaming China and getting vaccinated are not mutually exclusive. I am proof of that.
The truth is she has no idea of infected folks are vaccinated or not. There is no database with this information. Right?
Vaxxed people are getting infected, but they don’t get sick. Nearly everyone hospitalized or dying now is unvaxxed. 99+%
You’re right. Blame China for the origins of the virus. She’s right. Blame the unvaccinated for the continued spread and providing hosts to spread it.
I don’t know if it’s covid or vaccines or what, but something is destroying human brain cells en mass.
What happened to simple logic. If unvaccinated people are only a threat to themselves, WTF is the problem? Who are they a threat to?
I would posit that the opposite is a far greater threat. We’ve had a high enough vaccination rate in adults in our population to slow any spread, if not close in on herd immunity, and yet that hasn’t happened. This means that the real threat is mutations that will allow the virus to beat the “vaccines”. Over vaccinating may well end up being the issue.
It’s generally an admission question.
What would they say in Sweden? Sounds like this fat old broad is calling it a career. Bitch slap the party on the way out. Rice anyone?

Vaccination is not supposed to stop cases.
One wonders if vaccinated people are as readily hospitalized as unvaccinated. A doc might decide to send a vaxed patient home who has the same symptom severity as an unvaxed patient. That stat may be corrupted.
This summer uptick matches very closely the timing of last year’s. The numbers are lower, but not hugely so.
We will not know anything about success until late November. Note that Brazil and Peru are seeing cases and death counts plummet over the past few weeks, and they are largely unvaccinated.
Because the longer the virus finds hosts to make ill, the more variants will happen. Goes back to herd immunity. Frankly if it wasn’t not harmed or killed the unvaccinated, I would say let nature work her will.
This is a touchy subject for another reason. I’ve heard that black folks have low vaccination rates.
They have to be very careful about criticizing those who are not yet vaccinated, because this could become a racist meme, if that trend continues.
And Alabama has a proportionately bigger black population compared to most states, so this governor has to walk a fine line in commenting on this.
Politicians can’t get votes from dead people (at least not Republican politicians.
People who get sick may eventually get angry at politicians and news media who lied to them about whether the vaccine was unsafe, or whether getting covid was “just the flu.”
New outlets who are spreading lies about the vaccine being unsafe may face class action suits for knowingly spreading false information. (Hence the Fox News flipperoonie this week.)
I expect it's one of the first questions the hospital will ask when they show up in the emergency room.
I was going to say that, but figured it didn’t belong in the first post since it’s a tangent. But yes, you are totally correct. Blacks and Hispanics absolutely trail everyone in vaccination rates, and it’s a problem. Where is Jesse Jackson or Beyonce or whoever it is that black people listen to? Clyburn?
Blaming accomplishes what?
