As America gears up to celebrate Independence Day and a return to normalcy with most U.S. adults fully vaccinated, annual holiday light shows may be looking a little dim this year as a result of nationwide shortages in the post-pandemic.
Youngstown, Ohio-based Phantom Fireworks, the country’s largest consumer-based retail fireworks company, is urging consumers to buy their fireworks sooner rather than later amid supply chain issues and global shipment delays, the company announced on its website.

We had the best fireworks show we’ve seen outside a major metro. All from our front yard.
It wasn’t legal.

Portland antifa has been able to get fireworks on an ongoing basis. Big stuff like a City/County would use.
I saw they set up the tent near us where we usually buy them but we can’t afford them this year.
My neighbor used to invite us over for fireworks on the 4th but he quit doing them after Trump got elected. Will be interesting to see if he starts back up this year.

I do wonder about that now. Although not impossible to dismantle the most safe way to handle a large fireworks display once it’s been set up is to fire it off. In almost all cases bad weather only delays it a day or two.
Instead of enriching the CCP by buying their fireworks to celebrate the birth of our nation, why not celebrate by going to the range and practicing your marksmanship?

Now I play it safe. I have these bottle caps that fit on 1 liter soda bottles, fill with lp air through a fitting on top with a playground ball needle, 50 to 60 psi... hit it with a slingshot and BAM! About as loud as a 12 gauge.
Soon. They can make it so scary to bring a family to one that people stay home. Leftist bombs. Bomb threats called in and sections cleared by police. Shootings at random---no suspects (as many freeways today such as Detroit ones). Member of local or state government who appears at a July 4th parade or picnic speech will be canceled and ridiculed on social media as being racist.

I can only hope. THe idiots in our neighborhood don’t know when to stop. It is illegal, because they are not farmers trying to scare away the crows, which is the only reason they are permitted to be used in Florida.
Liberal cities across the nation are cracking down on fireworks and even cancelling their own municipal shows in favor of laser light shows, due to pollution and noise. Meanwhile police do nothing against high violent crimes, and looters. So again rank and file law enforcement favor going after conservatives who have a few fireworks instead of real criminals.
Last year our company had our own fireworks display. The owner literally bought out the entire fireworks stand. It was better than most I have seen. Nobody in our little town of 1000 complained!
Same here. The vacationers fire them off 24/7. They all bring in professional $$$$ fireworks so our windows rattle. They’re too loud and powerful for a neighborhood with close together houses. Police laughs off complaints with, “it’s a holiday.” That’s one reason we replaced the roof with metal. Dread having to keep the kitties in the whole long 4th weekend.
One of our dogs has to be sedated for 3 nights with the fireworks. Horrible.
