Novavax announced Monday morning that its vaccine against Covid-19 proved 90% effective in preventing the disease in a large study group.
While Novavax’s (ticker: NVAX) effectiveness level is slightly below those shown for the authorized vaccines from Moderna (MRNA) or the team of Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX), it far exceeds America’s third authorized shot from Johnson & Johnson (JNJ).
The Novavax vaccine was also tested at a time when more-infectious variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus were on the rise in the U.S.—making its near-equivalent showing to the Moderna and Pfizer shots all the more impressive. Monday’s news sets Novavax up to be a strong alternative to those companies’ vaccines—and therefore an agent for price competition in developed countries and the underserved regions of the world, such as India.

Novavax said that it tested its two-shot vaccination among nearly 30,000 people aged 18 and older in the U.S. and Mexico. One-third of those got placebo shots, while the rest got the company’s combination of artificial proteins mimicking the virus’s characteristic spikes, with an additive to enhance antibody formation. It’s a different technology from the messenger-RNA approach used for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna shots. That could make the Novavax product easier to distribute than the mRNA vaccines, which require special cold-storage.
In the Novavax trial, 63 members of the placebo group developed Covid symptoms, compared with 14 in the vaccine group—for a prevention rate of 90.4%. By comparison, Pfizer’s vaccine was 95% effective in its big trial; Moderna’s vaccine was 94.1% effective; and J&J’s one-shot regime was 72%. While rare side effects briefly paused the use of J&J’s shot, no serious safety problems emerged in the Novavax study.

Novavax leaders were particularly proud of their product’s performance against the newer strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The Pfizer and Moderna shots were tested over the summer of 2020. Novavax conducted large trials last year in South Africa and the U.K., but it didn’t start a big North American trial until late December.
“We conducted our efficacy evaluation period during a time when variants emerged in the U.S.,” chief medical officer Filip Dubovsky told listeners. Sure enough, among the Covid cases whose virus was genetically sequenced, two-thirds were of the concerning new variants. So the fact that none of the Covid cases developed more than mild symptoms was another achievement for the Novavax technology.

They are weaponized. Norovax is not going to be their first “good deed”. Bill Gates, China, George Soros etc. still fund and direct these biowarfare efforts.
What we need, is development on treatment protocols for the cases of Antibody Dependent Enhancement (ADE) which are likely to threaten many who were ‘vaccinated’.
We also need a clear focus on treating damage from spike proteins - the ‘vaccine’ triggers the immediate production of billions which spread out in the body within 48 hours and accumulate in the organs, which are then vulnerable to attack by the body’s immune system.
They need to stop working on more bioweapons and start focusing on treatments that are going to be needed world-wide.

That’s good - though there’s still the issue that it’s the spike proteins themselves (made inside the body or not) that are the issue causing the heart attacks.

Essentially, COVID-19 vaccines train the body to recognize the coronavirus, especially the spike protein that coats it, and get ready to fight the virus off.
The Novavax vaccine is made with lab-grown copies of that protein. That’s different from some of the other vaccines now widely used, which include genetic instructions for the body to make its own spike protein.
Really, what are the alternatives?
When you are infected, the virus replicates in your body billions of times.
What Novavax designed is to have a minuscule amount of the Spike protein that doesn’t self-replicate.
I looked up saponin-based adjuvant and saw that it is relatively new in human vaccines, but has been used in animal vaccines. Here is an article discussing its use in the Shingrix shingles vaccine.

Sort of the same evolution as when penicillin was recognized as an antibiotic when sulfur was the standard of the day. Progress happens.
The efficacy rates are useless, worse than useless as in truth the numbers are 'relative risk' and not 'absolute risk'.
So 90% effective doesn't mean you only have a 10% chance of becoming ill.
For both vaccinated and unvaccinated, the risk of becoming ill is less than 1% in these trials, which tend to test persons 18 - 55 or young for 2 weeks to 2 months. So the 'efficacy' numbers are only valid for that duration. After the trial ends, people continue to get sick and the 'efficacy' rate decreases.
As long as the FDA, CDC, NIH, and Fauci lie about these vaccines, there's no reason to trust anyone promoting them.
Possible deadly inflammation?
Same here. If the time comes that its “get the shot or stay out” I want one thats gone through all the testing stages and doesn’t contain unborn babies.
