Five Republican senators wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to discuss their concern of "unequal justice" for the prosecution of Capitol rioters in comparison to some demonstrators during the social justice protests in 2020.
Signed by Senators Ron Johnson, Tommy Tuberville, Mike Lee, Rick Scott and Ted Cruz, the letter highlighted a few instances of disruption by protests that may have resulted in unequal justice in the prosecution of those involved. They requested "information about our concerns regarding potential unequal justice administered in response to other recent instances of mass unrest, destruction, and loss of life throughout the United States."

"DOJ's apparent unwillingness to punish these individuals who allegedly committed crimes in the spring and summer 2020 protests stands in stark contrast to the harsher treatment of the individuals charged in connection with the January 6, 2021 breach of the US Capitol building in Washington D.C.," according to the letter.

I’m happy to see that this is finally getting some attention from our elected representatives…there needs to be more on the list. Senators, Reps, even the state government level elected representatives of the protesters, etc. should all be speaking out.

Garland should be removed. He was cancelled as a SCOTUS jurist and carries a grudge.

I see nothing positive in the current state of things.
I see nothing that is going to change what has happened and the direction we are heading.
If there was some strategy or path back to liberty, then I would have hope. But the people of this nation are hopelessly addicted to socialism and are allowing communism to grow.
We are run by a Politburo. If the party leaders say X is fact, then there is nothing we can do against it. Our words mean nothing in the scheme of things. Our actions are branded "insurrection". Our posts are censored. The news is Pravda.
We are living in communism now. What did any communist nation do to escape? Nothing. They had to wait for it to collapse.
