R.I.P.

Raindrops was probably the first radio song I knew all the words to (I was in second grade).

A great Christian man who overcame addiction many years ago. He said goodbye through his publicist recently. A wonderful man to celebrate. And if you get a chance cruise over to Youtube and listen to “Home Where I belong.”

Yes, it was. This week I quizzed out an elderly person on my shuttle bus as it was playing to see if she knew that.

Our rodeo club at Tech (Texas Tech y'all) hired Thomas about '79 for our annual rodeo.

Afterwards, he joined us at Cold Water.

He was a very nice and humble preson.

Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

He only publicly revealed it two months ago. That's fast.

I have so many happy memories from his music. May he rest in peace.

I loved Hooked on a Feeling. Nice Christian fellow, great voice, and easy on the eyes. We’ll miss him.

I’ll always remember him for “Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song.” That song always makes me think of my youth bowling league because it was constantly playing on the jukebox.

How about “Billy & Sue”? That was controversial in 1966. I liked his mid-’60’s songs more than the 70’s stuff.
