Pipeline 5 Still Operating Despite Democrat Gov. Whitmer’s Shutdown Order: Consumers Will Pay the Price
Whitmer ordered Line 5 closed last November because of the potential for a spill in a channel linking two of the Great Lakes. As her May 12 deadline arrived, Canadian pipeline company Enbridge said only the federal government has regulatory authority over its operations. Whitmer warned the company Tuesday that continuing to operate the line would be trespassing and the state would claim Enbridge’s profits from doing so.
She has NO AUTHORITY to shut down that pipeline nor has the AUTHORITY to confiscate any revenues.
What that skank forgets is that line runs across an international shipping channel. Although it is with the USA, it is under the authority of international commerce. IF, that line was under the waters on the EAST side of the bridge, then it would be in international waters exclusively. Lake Superior is international waters. Huron, and all the rest. Only Lake Michigan is not in international waters but shipping is regulated through agreements.
Now, lets watch and see what happens in the federal courts under this Pig Face Bidet administration.
