Scientists (physicists, psychiatrists, sociologists, etc.) who have studied alien abductions almost always conclude that whatever is doing it is certainly NOT friendly. Friendly forces do not abduct people screaming in terror from their beds, cars, and houses.
I think demonic might be a very good description.
