Coming into the 2020-21 season, NBA games on ABC — the league’s most important partner — were down 45% since 2011-12. On cable, it’s only slightly less damning. NBA broadcasts on TNT were down 40% and 20% on ESPN.
To stick with more recent trends, the past two NBA Finals crashed to double-digit declines, with the most recent falling down 51% to an all-time record low. Last season’s NBA on ABC games fit that same category, recording the lowest average (2.95 million) on record. According to The Athletic’s Ethan Strauss, that record will break once again this season.

The NBA will just come up with excuses such as “more people are attending games” or “people are watching highlight videos on youtube instead”

I no longer support any professional sport nor college sports as the ncaa is also woke. I suggest everyone else so the same.
But considering what Nike charges for a pair of its basketball sneakers, and what the average Chinese laborer is paid, how many of that 1.4 billion population will be able to afford them?

The second story is that NBA ratings are down 45%....
It’s a bizarro world where NBA players make millions in a country they trash continually after racial justice meanwhile they say absolutely nothing about slave trading being used to make their equipment and shoes....and NOT ONE NBA reporter has the balls to ask anyone in the NBA about their extreme hypocrisy...

I can see US society deteriorating to the point where attendance at pro sports like the NBA is mandatory. The Establishments wants whites clapping for blacks and diversity....
Fewer than 3 million TV viewers — in a nation of 330+ million people — is a staggering symptom of failure.
NBA must be an extreme embarrasement to the likes of Julius Erving and Larry Bird.
The nba also didn’t care about their game, their audience, their next generation, and their appeal.
Self-centeredness is its own reward.
Looks like pro sports leagues are getting by with a little more help from federal taxpayers.
