Until I read this lady’s account, I‘d only seen one account of anyone’s airport experience but I’d read a lot about the covid hotel hell experiences. In that one account, an anti-mask, anti-lockdown activist had filmed himself refusing to wear a mask in the airport and refusing to go to hotel hell. He shouted into the camera that they were violating our Bill of Rights and he walked out and it appeared that they left him alone. I don’t know what happened once he got home ($3000 fine for violating the Quarantine Act?). He’s well-known. I am not.
So I contacted my lawyer and asked for a referral to a criminal attorney because I was planning to refuse to go to covid hotel hell and expected to be arrested. The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms here in Canada suggested we have a criminal attorney on retainer for when we refused in case we were arrested. Not all people were being arrested for refusing in Toronto, but there was no knowing in advance who would be or wouldn’t be.
Then I learned from a friend that hotel quarantine wasn’t a requirement when entering by land, so I abandoned my plan to be civilly disobedient and simply changed my travel arrangements. If I had returned to Toronto by air, I may have seen all Chinese faces too if Trudeau has turned airport arrival functions over to them. I saw no evidence of Chinese control of the airport when I departed from Toronto.

I also had a 68 Chevy badged Chevy II-Nova. Floorboards were rotted...used plywood over some boards to cover the holes.
Finally, around a decade later when the paint job started to wear out (rust), we reluctantly sold it to a teenage kid and his dad a couple blocks away, who used it as a father and son bonding project, spiffed it up bigtime, and then got it painted red. Not a good color choice in Florida.... we watched sadly from a distance, as things went downhill for it from there.
There is a podcaster on Rumble named Laura Lynn who is Canadian living in Vancouver. Listening to her I have learned a lot about what is going on there. She interviews men and women trying to defeat the tyranny there and highlights these kinds of stories.
