When a troll suddenly appears, methinks worthy news is breaking (or about to break) from which it is trying to divert thread attention.
Gore v. Bush brought about HAVA Help America Vote Act which gave states millions of dollars to “upgrade” their voting systems. Since hanging chads, at the time, made the “old” way of voting look suspect from an optical PR standpoint, everyone rushed to buy the latest electronic voting machines, whether it was total electronic machines or electronic ballot scanners. This, like almost all legislation, created a cash cow incentive for companies. Small niche companies in the election business suddenly became $100+ million a year companies due to HAVA. The “party” didn’t last long but it birthed the industry that resulted in the fraudulent Dominion/Smartmatic machines that were used in 2020 and before.

I agree, they can never be secure nor hack proof as the 2020 election showed us, especially in today’s tech savvy world. There are too many potential crooks wanting to influence elections, whether they be corporations, foreign governments, domestic traitors, domestic politicians or foreign and/or domestic agencies think C_A type orgs.
One comment I recall was that bubba was doing 100 million a month at Mena,AK., and Hillary is doing a billion a month. So next time you hear someone talk about how they are getting 750k or 500k for a speech just laugh!!
