Major League Baseball is scheduled to play its 2021 All-Star Game this summer at Truist Park, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Yet with less than a week to go until Opening Day, the MLB Players Association appears open to discussing whether or not the event should be relocated in response to recent legislative developments in the state.
MLB Players Association director Tony Clark told the Boston Globe that the union body is "very much aware" of the bill signed by Georgia governor Brian Kemp on Thursday that overhauled the state's election laws.
The bill includes "new restrictions on voting by mail and gives the legislature greater control over how elections are run," according to CBS News. It has been opposed by both Democrats and voting rights groups who believe the law will "disproportionately disenfranchise voters of color."
Clark told the Globe that "we have not had a conversation with the league on that issue" before adding that "if there is an opportunity to, we would look forward to having that conversation."

It says a lot about America that so many people idolize the characters that you really wouldn’t trust to baby sit your kids, would you?
Add to that it really is a kid’s game. It should be left to children to play. They should stop playing it at all after high school. Intramural sports for adults are fine, that’s about health and fellowship primarily.
Being a spectator of professional baseball supports and furthers the interests not only of the wrong people, but it supports the wrong ideas and values as well.
It’s fake as hell. Cardboard fans, recorded cheers, gamblers influencing games, etc.
Just think of how forced and fake all the media build up around the games and stats is. There is always a greatest this and a greatest that, every day they are on and on with that nonsense and somehow they’ve convinced people that it’s not only entertainment but it’s somehow ephemeral and tied into the story of America.
Yeah, professional baseball is American, because it’s essentially a legislated monopoly syndicate, a fake and a scam, created solely to placate you, distract you, give you a false sense of meaning and purpose, and take as much of your money as it can.
It don’t get more American than that.

This is a chance to have a pre-emptive boycott. Lets stop watching from the gitgo and force MLB into publicly taking a side. Thats how alinsky progressives have been running corporate boycotts for decades, now its our friggin turn!
The ironic thing is that Blacks are urged to support their vote being diluted by the votes of illegal aliens, in the name of voting rights.
Why not just have MLB handle our elections, lord knows their All-Star Voting Process is more legit than the one for our Presidential Elections.

I remember going to games and grabbing handfuls of all star ballots and punching them out with friends in school and the little chads would be around our desks on the floor. We didn’t get in trouble if we brought some in for our teacher to do as well!
Don’t forget the stupid intentional walk rule and the absolutely mind-blowing stupidity of the extra innings starting at second rule.
Another reason now that I prefer Cricket over baseball.
