Half the fun of the Italian kitchen is getting everyone in on the act, even the kids are kneading pasta, the wine is flowing the jokes and smiles are all around..

I have a couple of recipes passed down from the Spanish grannies. As one of my cousins saya, pain in the a$$ but so worth it.

Italian grandmothers making pasta? I don’t understand. I thought pasta grew on trees.

People have been going around Italy and Sicily for close to 7 years now filming Grannies who have been making handmade pasta since they were toddlers. The typical cook is in her 70's up to over 100. Each video is less than 15 minutes so it's a very entertaining filler channel: Pasta Grannies

We make those; they are called Corzetti.
There two sellers on Etsy who make the stamps.

I remember when we went to my Italian grandmother for Easter. Homemade pasta, tomato sauce... I loved the smell and listening to family history of Italy. Granddad had to leave Italy since he had a few people looking for his head, Mussolini for one...

Got to look at those on YouTube... The DeplorableAmerican Pasta Company... Momma Mia...

Already weeded my church’s front garden today for Palm Sunday, to welcome the King. My own front gardens need it, too, but I’d rather spend hours looking at the videos in this article and at Oshkalaboomboom’s link in post 9. Hope you are having a blessed day!

PING and another BUMP for later!

read an article the other day about some Italian provinces begging people to move there. 400sqft houses average, free, if you do about $20K in rennovations. Great opportunity for budding chefs to live cheaply in total immersion while they learn some the culinary secrets of the locals. I’d be tempted if I was 30 years younger.
