On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced a 20-point guide to how to empower women.
Timed to coincide with next week's International Women's Day, it dripped with all the usual insufferably patronising self-righteousness that's become the hallmark of the couple's endless hectoring homilies to the world.
'Let's unleash a groundswell of real acts of compassion for the women in your life!' they beseeched on their foundation website.

I recall reading an interview with Tammy Bruce and she said that when (in the 1970s and 1980s) she was both an actress and also worked for NOW’s chapter in Los Angeles, she heard far, far more racist or sexist or homophobic remarks from people who considered themselves liberal Democrats than ever conservatives or Republicans.
The older this author (Piers Morgan) gets, the more sensible he becomes. I suppose that if he makes it to 100 he’ll be the most dependably conservative person in Britain.
Side note to Piers: You need to take a good look at our 2A. You’re just not getting the importance of it. And that’s your weak spot.

She never tried to “fit in”. She wanted to use the royal family, not serve it.

Tammy was the President of NOW in LA for a long time. I think that’s when she began to move right because the left NOW people disgusted her so much.

How about we treat everyone decently, allow them to do whatever they want, and work to eliminate discrimination of everyone due to stupid reasons?
I am a late, late boomer. I don’t recall a time in my life where girls, and then women were not treated as peers. Even in grammar school we were taught anyone can achieve whatever THEY want. It took dedication, commitment, and work.
When did we go back to the 1800’s where women are not allowed to do that?
Of course, as a woman you have the choice to have children. This is nothing new. Children consume a ton of time and resources. And yes, raising them requires attention.
If people choose to be single parents (and with the obvious exceptions—it is a choice) then they will ALWAYS be behind the curve.
Women are empowered. But they are also responsible for their decisions. If they make bad decisions, that is part of evolution.
Populations can be empathetic. And we should be charitable to those less fortunate than us. But, people who chose to make decisions that put them at a disadvantage do not deserve EXTRA rights.
Time for Meghan (with Oprah’s help) to play the race card by claiming the Royals are all racists and hate her because she is half black.
This is a carbon copy of the abdication of the throne, when Edward VIII proposed to marry Wallis Simpson.
Although, there is no abdication involved here, just the same, this dude marries a loser.
How many black or other POC staff did Halfwit and MeGain hire? How many POC did or do they support? My recollection is that most of the people who worked for them or provided services for them (clothes and jewelry designers) are white. It would be interesting to know the same information as it pertains to Oprah’s businesses.
