Rioters vandalized several buildings in downtown Portland, Ore., on Saturday night in one of the largest protests in weeks, according to reports.
Around 150 people marched through Portland’s Pearl District in what’s called a "direct action" event, smashing windows of businesses like Starbucks, Chipotle, Umpqua Bank and Urban Pantry and tagging them with graffiti, KION-TV in Portland reported.
One vandal wrote "banks suck" on Umpqua Bank’s façade, a Portland Tribune reporter tweeted.
The marchers were protesting the Biden administration’s immigration policy and the federal agency Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The White House received progressive pushback this month when it reopened a Texas shelter meant to house unaccompanied teenage migrants. Amid the blowback, the administration has claimed the shelter "won't stay open very long."
Ahead of Saturday's unrest, several Portland business owners had boarded up their storefronts in anticipation of the planned protest, FOX 12 in Portland reported.
"We have removed everything that could possibly cause damage tonight," Jim Rice, owner of Fields Bar and Grill, told the station. The restaurant was already damaged on Friday. It was unclear if it suffered any further damage Saturday.
"When these people come through, and we've lost an entire day of business which means that's impacting my team member's wages. This has been going on for nine months," he continued. "Where are our resources? When do we get enough resources to finally go after and fix this?"

They should have been sniper from the rooftops long ago. But that hasn’t happened. Portland residents have evidently agreed to accept barbarism.

I couldn’t agree more. Hitler was elected with only 42% of the vote. There were of course the true believers but many reportedly voted for him with the thought that it would end the street violence and protests if he was elected. Once in power he used emergency decrees (executive orders) to crush any resistance and strip them of power. The left is emboldened and they have the power. This last election proved they will use any means necessary to get that power. They have an agenda and they will implement it. The frightened voter who thought that appeasement by voting them in was the best choice may never have another chance to vote them out.
They literally are trying to bring down our democracy and crickets from the main stream media. Talk about violent insurections.

It’s not even that. These people wouldn’t be happy if Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren were running the country. From their perspective, Bernie’s too far right.
These people are about two steps away from calling Karl Marx a right-wing fascist. They’re completely insane. I think they either need to bring the police out in force and start mass arrests or just lock these people into a 2 square mile “autonomous zone” and let them go completely Lord of the Flies while containing them so they don’t bother normal people.

These violent leftwing democrat domestic terrorists have been tearing up Portland, destroying business, intentionally terrifying, attaching, and even killing peaceful citizens since the summer of 2019. The ANTIFA members have wounded/injured hundreds of law enforcement officers in the last year.
The ANTIFA democrat violent terrorists are the pets of the leftwing politicians who run Portland and are protected politically from any law enforcement ramifications.
At no other time in any city of our nation has this type of total lawlessness ever been tolerated. There is no sign that the city or Portland or state of Oregon has any intent to rein in their pet terrorists that they enable, control, direct, fund, and refuse to arrest and/or prosecute.
All this could be stopped in a single night with the proper deployment and liberal use of riot guns.
Within our nations history the people, good peaceful citizens, have developed their own effective answers to stopping this kind of lawlessness when the proper authorities refuse to do their jobs.
Vigilantism.
To me and most other Oregonians it is readily apparent that all other options of stopping this nasty leftwing deadly violent terrorism have been flatly refused by the democrats in power in Portland and Oregon.
