A high school math teacher in Alabama who allegedly had sex with one of her students has been released from custody after turning herself in to cops.
Ashton Alana McCluskey, 27, was arrested by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday and released on a $50,000 bond, WAFF reported.
McClusky has been charged with two felony counts of Sexual Conduct With a Student under the age of 17 and has been ordered not to have any contact with the alleged victim.

Agree, probably acceptable, but close enough to hang the jury on this. Clearly a need for a RETRIAL.

Her hubby looks like a stud too. What is it with these cases of teacher/student intimate relationships? Some attractive/emotional factors trigger inside the teachers and then crosses over the line into fantasies become realities by facilitating sexual rendezvous with their student lovers.
Hormones, dopamine, selfish attitude, shamelessness, dishonesty, Tacit acceptance of aberrant behaviour , cause one just”cannot help themself” and societal confusion(I.e....no rules)

I do not care if older girls/women want to have sex with boys under age 17.
There is zero evidence that any heterosexual boy has ever been criminally harmed by having a sexual relationship with an older female.
These are theatrical legal events, where parents and students ring the cash register, and local taxpayers sign the check.
I suspect this type of thing does happen more than it appears in the news. A lot of it likely goes undetected & unreported. Unfortunately, a lot of pervs go into jobs like teaching, coaching, counseling, and ministering
precisely because they have access to kids. I also think the vast majority of the pervs are men.
My own belief is that the women who do it end up doing it to deal with the insecurity of aging. In contrast, the men are actively looking for victims from the git-go.
Younger females have hormones too and are plenty horny.
Yeah, I do kind of have a double standard for women. And probably it is because I was a teenage boy once. No way I would have turned down a good looking twenty something woman when I was that age.

Many de facto rapists of minors would say the same thing (and the victims would back them up); it is either illegal, or it isn’t.
