I agree; especially when getting people to believe it and pass it on so they can be ridiculed often seems to be the object.

This strikes me as a bait scheme to make us look dumb. And I agree, it is malicious. In truth there is plenty within Lewis' writings that is educational for this spiritual war. Creating fake writing puts all in a bad light.

that said, I could derive entertainment from properly notated and attributed follow-up work like the posted fake Screwtape Letter. The person who wrote that could have signed his name with the simple statement that he was inspired by Screwtape's application to covid. By failing that the insidious enemy casts his shadow.
