Well, McConnel is showing his true colors since this is his last term. I would really like to see Matt Bevin run for his seat when he is out.
At this point, Mitch McConnell has nothing to lose. And what the heck, he is of advanced age, no telling what the next five years bring. He may or may not have enough of good graces to live out that span of time.

Congratulations! As much as I disdain Chuckie Schumer you managed to move way ahead of him on my list of politicians I disdain. Your traitorous, swarmy little speech on the floor of the senate today was one of the most disgusting spew of malicious dribble I’ve ever witnessed. And that’s no small accomplishment for a pathetic old scumbag that you are. You hypocritically and slanderously criticized Trump for what you erroneously described as his “disgraceful dereliction of duty” and further chided him for his attempts to “overturn the election.” You went on to orally discharge more excrement when you stated, again erroneously, that “There’s no question – none – that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day.” You spouted your venom for quite some time today and now here are some provable facts that will serve as an effective antivenom to your poisonous words. Trump did not incite an insurrection. Trump served as President with honor and dignity. Trump was not derelict in his duty. Trump won the 2020 election by a wide margin of the legal votes cast. Biden and the democrats stole the election. The insurrection was planned and executed by groups that did not support Trump. You have acted disgracefully and have failed the people of Kentucky. You should do me and my fellow Kentuckians a favor by starting your retirement six years early. But don’t come back to Kentucky. Just stay in the D.C. swamp where you’ll feel more at home.
