Seems like there was a time in the past (2008), when FreeRepublic was lost in confusion and no one was quite sure which Pubbie to get behind:

There seemed to be a large contingent here that [felt] we should Trust [Romney].
They seem to be the same folks that mock “Trust ]Sessions[”.
While many of us here understand the full meaning of “Trust ]Sessions[, how’d that “Trust [Romney]” shtick work out?
Does anyone still use the word /purge/ on the main forum anymore?

Shamed to admit that I voted for Romney, however, never was a "Trust Romney" freeper. Held my nose and voted.
