Well, we vet/verify everything here don't we? Army vs. Navy? Style Guides vary. Always confused me in school. Navy also uses AP Style Guide BUT:

"Navy editors and writers should follow the most recent edition of the Associated Press Stylebook except as noted in this U.S. Navy Style Guide."

So Army says not. I propose a uniform standardization of Writing Style across all branches. :D

As long as it’s the accepted usage. The Army guide was from 2015 and I tried to look for one more recent, but could not access https://usacac.army.mil/organizations/cace/carl/styles.
