No. If you simply make predictions based on your best knowledge of the situation, that does not necessarily make you a prophet. a prognosticator or forecaster is the better term for these people.
However, when you make a prediction and prefix it with — This is God’s Message, or God Told Me, or Thus Sayeth the Lord, or something similar, especially to the Christian Church, then you are a “prophet” and your prophecy better come to past or you are a false prophet.
