The fact is that the death rate changes from year to year are much more a function of demographic trends than the Coronavirus. The American death rate was always going to be higher this year than in the last few years regardless of flu, Coronavirus, etc. In many countries there is a lower death rate this year than in past years.

Biden says he can’t change the trajectory of the Coronavirus for several months. Once flu season is over in April we will see a massive drop in respiratory infections all across the Northern Hemisphere, as has happened for thousands of years. Even though this has been the pattern you know that Biden will take credit for the drop in Coronavirus cases just as rulers in ancient civilizations took credit for the sun rising in the morning and the warmth to allow crops to grow in the summer.
