I would be there as well to show support but the number scared me (my age number). I doubt there were many octogenarians ventured out there in middle of winter and rigors of tolerating DC street environment. Although if I had worn depends probably would have been ok haha.
At the November 14th rally, I met up with two lovely elderly ladies, one of whom undertook the entire march with a walker. I didn’t see anyone like that on 1/6, but there were a few of those semi-wheelchair things that serve as walking support as well as a seat. The mud of the ellipse was a challenge for anything with wheels. I hesitated to go when I got the safety briefing from our bus organizers but I’m glad I packed a few extras and went. Sometimes it is important to bear witness. Had I been 10 years older I wouldn’t have done it.
