I remember reading it at the time, but never could find a SC case (I think there’s still 3 that are the President’s that are still open) that had a date before Jan. 6.
I’m like you though; I absolutely remember seeing a post saying the SC was supposed to hear it before or on 1/6.
My understanding is if the Supreme Court going to consider a case, it’s ‘distributed for conference’ meaning the case info is given to all the Justices and the date it is scheduled to be considered. This one has a date of 1/8/21. Maybe it was a typo? But it’s not a Trump case, either.

On the Court calendar, the first scheduled date for oral arguments again isn’t until Jan. 11. I guess they can always schedule an earlier date for emergencies?
