I want a wood cookstove so bad! Weve seen a couple of hiiuses with one, but it didn’t work out. No heat feels as good as a wood fire! And you’re right, they smell good too.
Brrrrrr.....you’re making me cold....and, feeling a bit silly having my (gas) fireplace on....when it’s just 40ยบ out.

We have a wood stove at our family’s ranch place. It’s not a cookstove, tho. Just in the corner of the little living room area.
