My seventh-grade English teacher was a POW of the Japanese, in Hong Kong, I think. He had great stories, and NO FINGERNAILS.
There was a local man here, Bert Bank, who wrote a book entitled, “Back from the Living Dead”, about the death march.

Oh my. I hope that when we get past this, the whole education system can be revamped and flushed, and the history/stories of the greatest generation and what they endured can be taught again.
Before we get too far down the hating on the Japanese road, we should remember that the enemies we face would love to treat us in the very same way. I think it was Admiral Raymond Spruance that made an observation, and I’ve never been able to find it again, that any nation has enough thugs, bullies, and rent seekers to become extremely dangerous if allowed to assume power.
