COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Ten players for No. 1 South Carolina remained seated during the national anthem before their season opener with College of Charleston on Wednesday.
Only junior forward Elysa Wesolek stood during the anthem. Coach Dawn Staley and her staff also stood.

I hear ya’. While a teacher, I was called into my schools’ principal’s offices several times and basically told to stop teaching the truth about this country and stick to the district’s “liberal script and curricula”. The entire US public school system, and most of the university programs, are run by arrogant and history-ignorant liberals. Talking to a liberal, about the failures of socialism and communism, in every part of the world where it’s been tried, is like talking to the “head dead”. At one point, I even taught at Rice University and it was no different. I learned to keep my pro-America/pro-democracy views to myself.
Ironically, the U.S.C. women’s basketball team is officially known as the “Lady Gamecocks”.
As a Carolina graduate and Gamecock fan, I am beyond being merely appalled by their disgusting behavior.
I dont have to pass anyone’s personal qualification tests to express my opinions or be considered to have valid opinions or views about something.
And yes, that is why someone asks a question like this. To then be able to go on to attempt to discredit or dismiss a comment they don’t like.
Because that question has no bearing on my comment or the article at all.

But on a somewhat serious note... I had a little talking to about the word cock, used in a dirty song I learned from the Phillips kid.
Apparently the word cock could be applied to either sex back in the 50s.

Fwiw the college age AA women I work with are completely bought in on the BLM ginned up level of grievance, while the men are much more likely to be interested in business opportunity and learning how to get ahead in the American system.

I hear that McDonalds’ is hiring former female basketball players because of their intellectual skills.
Terminate the entire program.

Simple, just disband the team. No team, no scholarships. Equal application of the law.
If coach won’t eliminate the cancer from the Lamecocks, then firing coach or reducing scholarships needs to be considered.
