My suggestion was generic, just to honor the inspiration for the change; any name that inspires patriotism and commitment to the Constitution.
As to the *If we have to start a new party* part, it is just a repeat of how the Republicans replaced the Whigs. The Whigs had become non-functional over divisions and indecisiveness. A faction of the Whigs formed the new party and nominated Abraham Lincoln.
The Republican Party is in much the same place as the Whigs: divided and indecisive. Some are all DS and have thrown in with the Dems, lacking any deep rooted constitutional convictions. Some are just come along to get along with their 'cross the aisle' mantra. And some are strong populists who have hitched their political wagons to Donald Trump.
It is obvious that the populists dominate the Repub rank and file; the old guard tries to say the right things but their actions betray their true intentions. Thus the Repubs lack the decisiveness that the Dems do in their Marxist fervour.
It is - it seems to me - a mirror of the conditions that gave rise to the Republican Party in the first place. Now a black Congressman, Elijah Cummings, states that the Republican Party was the party of slavery - the exact opposite of the truth - and there is no pushback by the Repub leadership. This presents an unstable and untenable situation, unacceptable to the populist political base ensnared by the party apparatchiks.
Thus either the populist base must aggressively change the Repub Party or start a new party. The constitutional commitment of a Sidney Powell and the patriotic service of Gen. Flynn, and the unjust persecution he has suffered, make them a reasonable focal point to rally around. Hopefully DJT will hold fast as the new party's standard bearer.
We are not - and must never become - a democracy! That is the road to Marxism and bogus elections. Long live the Republic!
