We have 3 conservative, adult, married kids in Maine. They don't comprehend why they don't get good conservative choices on their ballot. Talk amongst the natives blames this on people who've moved in from southern states.
It has occured to me that this excuse of out-of-state transplants is a very good "cover excuse" for derps and vote fraud. I vetted my out-of-state interloper-from-Maine-hubby really well before I even dated him. Truth is, a lot of people move to our conservative states because they do share our values.
"They want us divided" is not a new idea. Derps employ vote fraud then when things don't go our way, derps start planting the notion that it's the immigrant's fault from other states. Boom. Division. And they get vote fraud cover-ups.
We just saw how that works with dear PeteyPupperdoo last week.
Derps, we got your number on this. Division is clearly listed as a fruit in my trusty Bible. We know who you serve.

Like you, I’m starting to believe that the media calls states “blue states” with the intent that they will never flip back. VA and CO are prime examples of this phenomena. They both “flipped” from red to blue in 2008 IIRC. The flip was basically all but permanent according to media talking heads.
I get that both of those states saw an increase in liberals from 2000-now. What I don’t get is why are they suddenly given automatically to the Ds when their polls close.

Except for Alaska, EVERY state is south of Maine.
