That is correct. I've spent most of the last 7 months in the southern Adirondacks of New York. I just returned to Brooklyn this weekend to vote. I was struck by the complete and utter complicity of the people here with the mask mandate. Mind you, it was a terribly rainy day and there weren't many people out but everyone, I mean EVERYONE, was wearing a mask.
I chuckled when I saw a guy on a 10-speed and another running both wearing the most durable masks I've seen yet. I wondered if there is a criminal charge connected to non-compliance. I donned mine only when the sidewalk got crowded but I never saw a soul without his or her mask one in the hour or so that I was out.
Limits on freedom including freedom to not wear a mask outdoors are a hallmark of leftist controlled areas. I'll be returning to my mountain redoubt post haste.
A little more on masks.

Distancing is dehumanizing.
Masks have replaced shackles and leg-irons
Karens have become the porch ni88ers.
Bureaucrats have become the foremen and the State Police their whips.
It is no overdramatic thing to say with Sam Adams (my direct relative...), May your chains rest upon you lightly.
An unelected bureaucrats order is Kings Georges Stamp Act of 1773.
